As a guitar pro, I can appreciate the straightforward nature of "Wasting My Hate," especially in terms of its accessibility for beginners. However, I have to point out that while it may be simple, it lacks the depth that could make it truly engaging. The intro riff is one of the most basic forms of chord progression, and if you're looking to develop your skills beyond just strumming open chords, this track might not be the best choice for advancing your technique. Don't get me wrong, Metallica has a knack for writing catchy tunes, but I think this song could really benefit from more intricate parts to challenge players and display some of that signature metal complexity. If you're teaching or learning guitar, maybe try to dig deeper into their catalog for something more fulfilling, like "Master of Puppets" or "Fade to Black," which provide plenty of opportunities for developing techniques like alternate picking and soloing.
